چکیده

With a vista of available stainless steel grades at our disposal, it is possible to manufacture items for wide range industries. These include chemicals production, medicine, and pharmacology, aerospace, power engineering, etc. Stainless steels are widely used mostly due their unique property set, both mechanical physicochemical ones, achieved by alloying various components. workpieces usually obtained melting, alloying, casting, subsequent rolling the desired shape. The experience in study microstructure processes physical treatment accumulated present day mainly concerns machinability (blade, abrasive, laser, etc.) such conventional techniques. Meanwhile, approaches production from additive manufacturing (AM) methods actively developing. In turn, technologies allow producing that structurally as close final product However, use AM functional products brings questions related treatability achieve characteristics. This article discusses issues characteristics properties AM.

Mechanical Properties of Austenitic Stainless Steel Made by Additive Manufacturing

Using uniaxial tensile and hardness testing, we evaluated the variability and anisotropy of the mechanical properties of an austenitic stainless steel, UNS S17400, manufactured by an additive process, selective laser melting. Like wrought materials, the mechanical properties depend on the orientation introduced by the processing. The recommended stress-relief heat treatment increases the tensil...

Super Plasticity of /α Duplex Stainless Steels

In this paper the studies of the two-phase super Plasticity stainless steels is studied. The aim of this study obtained the suitable criteria to thermo-mechanical treatment condition for decrease the microstructure (grain size) and super plasticity property in two-phase stainless steels. Also here we want to show the appropriate ranges of temperature and strain rate used in the process super pl...

Composite scaffolds for osteochondral repair obtained by combination of additive manufacturing, leaching processes and hMSC-CM functionalization.

Articular repair is a relevant and challenging area for the emerging fields of tissue engineering and biofabrication. The need of significant gradients of properties, for the promotion of osteochondral repair, has led to the development of several families of composite biomaterials and scaffolds, using different effective approaches, although a perfect solution has not yet been found. In this s...

Low-Temperature Carburization of Austenitic Stainless Steels

LOW-TEMPERATURE CARBURIZATION is a gaseous carburization process performed at atmospheric pressure, at temperatures where the kinetics of substitutional diffusion are very slow. Low-temperature carburization hardens the surface of austenitic stainless steels through the diffusion of interstitial carbon, without the formation of carbides. The surface must be activated, by modification and remova...
